Fabian Battaglia, a 35-year tech industry veteran, has served as CEO of Mobix Labs since the company’s founding in 2020. Prior to Mobix Labs, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Microsemi from 2007 to 2018, leading a global team and managing more than $2B of annual sales revenue. At Microsemi, Fabian developed sales and engineering support processes deployed directly to the Fortune 500 and to well-recognized international companies serving the communications, medical, aerospace and defense, industrial and data storage markets. Fabian has held multiple management roles in field applications engineering for leading semiconductor companies such as Texas Instruments and Maxim Integrated Products. Fabian also worked five years as a design engineer focused on advanced system development for Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. Fabian holds a BSEE from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
Keyvan Samini has been Mobix Labs’ President since the company’s founding in 2020. He has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the semiconductor and software industries, with a proven track record of leading mergers, acquisitions, corporate development, finance, and governance. Keyvan has either led or represented many notable organizations including Western Digital, BioDiscovery, Dow Corning, Pitchtime, and Rfaxis, holding executive roles such as CEO, COO, CFO and corporate counsel. Keyvan has excelled in scaling and ramping growth in technology organizations and has worked closely with institutional investors in driving the growth of portfolio companies. Keyvan earned his Master of Liberal Arts, Finance at Harvard University, his MBA at the University of Southern California, and his JD at the Ohio State University.
Kristen Schmidt brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience in the semiconductor industry. She has held senior positions at Cosemi Technologies as CFO, Macom Technologies as Principal Financial Officer, HPA, and Mindspeed Technologies as CFO, VP of Finance, and Treasurer. Throughout her career, Ms. Schmidt has been instrumental in M&A activities, strategic planning, accounting, treasury, and sales.
Jim Aralis has spent more than 40 years leading the development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits, systems, and software/firmware. Prior to Mobix, Jim worked at Microsemi from 2007 to 2028, where he served as CTO and SVP of advanced development. Following Microchip’s acquisition of Microsemi, Jim focused on consulting, advising, and serving on boards of various technology companies and philanthropic organizations. Prior to Microsemi, Jim started, staffed and managed the Maxim Integrated Products design center in Irvine, California, which designed physical layer ICs for fiber optic communications. Previously, he managed the design of analog and digital ICs for Hughes Aircraft Company. Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Applied Science and Physics and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. He holds numerous patents and publications and has given technical and keynote presentations at numerous conferences around the world.
Phil Sansone brings 30+ years of worldwide sales experience to Mobix Labs. He has deep experience leading international partnerships and worldwide distribution channels, as well as global sales and technical teams. Prior to joining Mobix Labs, Phil served as Vice President of Global Distribution and Sales for MaxLinear, a provider of radio frequency, analog, digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits. He previously was VP of Global Distribution and Sales at Microsemi Corp., a provider of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions that was acquired by Microchip Technology in 2018. Earlier in his career, Phil spent nearly two decades at electronic components distributor Avnet, where he eventually led North American sales and engineering teams as Senior Vice President. He holds a Bachelor Science degree from New York Institute of Technology.
Dr. Alex Gorbachov is a highly accomplished system architect and circuit designer with more than 30 years of experience in RF/microwave and millimeter-wave design. With more than 70 patents, over 40 publications and advanced degrees in electrical engineering, Dr. Gorbachov has successfully led the development efforts of numerous products that have been designed into Tier 1 cellular handset, PC, and various consumer electronic devices. As co-founder and CTO of RFaxis, Dr. Gorbachov and his team created disruptive technologies in Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and ISM band applications, shipping more than 150 million units worldwide before RFaxis was acquired by Skyworks Inc.
